1. Who we are

This website is operated by SEWA by CROWNS group(“we”, “us” or “our”), an authorized Toshiba distributor in Malaysia (Authorized Distributor ID 1872625404). We are the data controller responsible for the personal data processed through this website.

Independently operated by an authorized Toshiba distributor. This is not the official Toshiba Malaysia website. This notice covers only data handled by us; it does not govern how Toshiba or any other company processes your data under its own policies.

2. What personal data we collect

We collect personal data in two ways:

a. Information you give us. When you submit an enquiry or request a quote through our form, or contact us by WhatsApp, phone or email, we collect your name, phone number, location, the product you are interested in, and any message or details you choose to share about your household or requirements.

b. Information collected automatically. When you visit the site we and our analytics and advertising providers automatically collect technical data such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring links, and interactions with the site, through cookies and similar technologies (see section 5).

Please provide only your own personal data. If you give us another person's details, you confirm you are authorised to do so.

3. How we use your personal data

We process your personal data to:

• respond to your enquiry and provide quotes, recommendations and offers;
• arrange delivery, installation, servicing and after-sales care;
• communicate with you about your enquiry, order or service appointments;
• with your consent, send you promotions, product news and marketing about our Toshiba water purifiers (you can opt out at any time);
• understand how our site is used, measure the performance of our advertising, and improve our website and services;
• comply with our legal obligations and prevent fraud or misuse.

Providing your data is voluntary, but if you choose not to provide it we may be unable to respond to your enquiry or provide the products and services you request.

4. Disclosure and transfers

We do not sell your personal data. We disclose it only to the following, and only as needed for the purposes above:

• Our service providers and processors — including our cloud and form infrastructure provider (Amazon Web Services), email delivery, and spreadsheet tools we use to receive and manage enquiries;
• Analytics and advertising partners — including Google (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Ads), as described in section 5;
• Toshiba and its authorized network — where needed to fulfil warranty, delivery or service in connection with your purchase;
• Authorities and advisors — where required by law, regulation, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Some of these providers (such as Google and AWS) may process or store data on servers located outside Malaysia. Where we transfer your data abroad, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected to a standard consistent with the PDPA.

5. Cookies, analytics and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, analyse traffic, and measure and improve our advertising. This includes:

• Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use the site;
• Google Ads, to measure ad conversions and, where enabled, to show you relevant ads across Google and partner sites (remarketing).

You can control or disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features of the site may not work properly. You can learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and opt out of personalised ads at adssettings.google.com.

6. How we protect your data

We apply reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take steps consistent with the PDPA's security requirements, and will notify you where a data breach is likely to cause you significant harm.

7. How long we keep your data

We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this notice, including any period required to meet legal, accounting or warranty obligations. When it is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.

8. Your rights under the PDPA

Subject to the PDPA, you have the right to:

• request access to the personal data we hold about you;
• request correction of inaccurate, incomplete or out-of-date data;
• withdraw your consent, or limit how we process your data;
• opt out of direct marketing at any time (for example, by replying “STOP” or contacting us using the details below);
• enquire about our disclosure of your data and make a complaint.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 11. We may decline a request where the PDPA or other law permits, and will explain our reasons where we do.

9. Children's privacy

Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18 without the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The latest version will always be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date. If there is any conflict between the English and any translated version, the English version prevails.
